APPROACH
From 100 to 300 Notebooks
The beauty of the 100 Notebook Project was in its ability to foster a sense of unity and connection within the community while celebrating individual experiences and voices. By embracing the limitless possibilities of self-expression, this project encouraged participants to tap into their creativity, share their stories, and contribute to the theme of human experience.
The initiative gained rapid traction, evolving into a broader conversation among stakeholders in the art, tech, and education sectors throughout Waterloo Region.
Thanks to the backing of Phidon Pens, we successfully tripled the amount of notebooks that were distributed through key partners, including Communitech, a local tech incubator, Pat The Dog Theatre Creation, a prominent advocate for Ontario theatre, and Preston High School, a Cambridge-based secondary school.
Hundreds JOINED the exhibition to uncover PUBLIC and anonymous expressions hidden within the notebooks
OUTCOME
SHOWCASING RAW Thoughts & entries
This 100 Notebook Project exhibit served as a platform for dialogue, connection, and reflection, inviting viewers to explore the intricate layers of human thought and expression captured across 300+ notebooks.
After a brief hiatus, 200+ attendees joined us as we reintroduce this project to Waterloo Region on a grander scale. In partnership with The Event Firm, we brought this exhibition to Tapestry Hall, a five-star character filled venue.
To pay homage to the first instance of the 100 Note Book project, we featured previous exhibits from renowned institutions such as Laurentian University's McEwan School of Architecture in Sudbury and the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture, enriching the experience with diverse perspectives and insights.
