GARDENA Packaging Design
SCENARIO: Being the preferred garden brand for millions of home owners, GARDENA has become the leader of high-quality garden tools in Europe and represented in more than 80 countries. When it came to Canada & US, they needed support in refreshing all of their packaging to comply with national consumer product standards, account for changes in physical products, and guidelines outlined by retailers.
TASK: Refreshing GARDENA’s design system and templates across their Watering, Lawn, Tree, and Shrub Care products, and managing the design, printing, warehousing, shipping, fulfillment, and web development across our two facilities at Cober Solutions.

APPROACH
CLEAR VISUALS
Both from a practical and informational side of things, we called out key features and important instructions through simple illustrations. We highlighted the greatest user benefits by weaving in brand colours and using product photography for real life demonstrations and use cases.
We established practical packaging to have Gardena products stand out amongst potential customers. The tools were placed at the forefront rather than being enclosed to allow buyers the opportunity to feel and test what Gardena had to offer.
OUTCOME
Complete overhaul
Between the improved user experience identified by the Gardena team and the increase in sales & orders, updates were applied across a suite of +120 SKUs which were also translated into 3 different languages, with unique product details and specifications required for 2 separate country standards. Our ability to resource under one roof reassured the client of the convenience and our ease of execution.
