SCENARIO: Relocating to Waterloo’s city core, S. G. Cunningham, a construction management company, was determined to retell their brand story in a bold way. With deep roots in supporting numerous organizations across the region, S. G. Cunningham possessed a rich history deserving of celebration.
TASK: Honour SGC’s longstanding legacy as a community leader through various storytelling moments by rolling out a rebrand, new exterior office building design, and digital presence.

FROM 35 Dollars TO 35 Weber
Story has it that George Cunnigham came to Canada from Ireland with nothing but the family name and $35 in his pocket. Since 1976, S.G. Cunningham has specialized as a leading full-service general contractor and construction management company.
Now at 35 Weber Street, we had to make their presence known by extending unique brand moments throughout the exterior as sisters Georgia & Beverley Cunningham continue to drive the company’s success and innovation within the industry.

We not only set out to to pay homage to the company's reputation and communicate its forward-thinking approach to construction, but spark enthusiasm amongst it’s staff.
It was important to highlight the essence of S. G. Cunningham's values, vision, and commitment to excellence. From a new visual identity to compelling messaging, every aspect of the brand was carefully curated to resonate with both existing stakeholders and new audiences.
From concepts to execution, we adopted SGC’s sentiment of how “we’re going to do it once, and we’re going to do it right”. With a construction element involved in the project, we adopted and exercised the same expertise SGC extended to their clients.

Revamping their digital footprint to reflect their specialty craftsmanship across all applications was key. Designing the website involved capturing S. G. Cunningham's community-focused ethos, ensuring brand consistency, overhauling the project portfolio, ensuring responsiveness across devices, accessibility, and scalability for future growth.
Through these efforts, S. G. Cunningham established a compelling online presence that effectively communicates its expertise and commitment — establishing the organization as a beacon of quality, reliability, and innovation in the industry.
